The statewide assessment program is designed to provide parents,
teachers, policy makers, and the general public with information regarding how
well students are learning South Carolina’s academic standards. It is very important that students are
prepared to do their personal best. Below
are ways you can help during the testing period.
Before the Test
Please
schedule doctor/dental appointments around test dates so that students are
present and on time for tests each day.
On Test Days
Make
sure your child gets a good night's sleep and eats a healthy breakfast. This
will ensure that your child is working at full capacity.
If your son or daughter wears
glasses, make sure they have them.
Remain
positive and help students avoid conflicts or becoming upset. Help your child stay calm. If students get upset about
anything before school, they are likely to experience anxiety during the test.
Arrive on time.
Thank you for supporting your
student and encouraging him or her to do his or her best during this test
administration.
Sincerely,
